Welcome to ICSET-14

The world is becoming increasingly aware of the need to resolve many issues associated with energy consumption and climate change. At present, the majority of energy resources in the world are derived from fossil fuels (such as coal and oil) which inevitably leads to the continuing depletion of energy resources and emerging of adverse environmental impacts. Rigorous methods are needed to accelerate the development and utilization of renewable energy, and to increase its contribution to the current energy supply mixes. The generation of energy from sustainable sources will be essential, especially when considering the determination in developing societies to adopt the energy-intensive lifestyle now prevalent in the developed world. Hence, securing a sustainable energy future implies an energy revolution.

The International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies is a technical conference in the areas of sustainable energy sources. The objective of this conference is to facilitate discussion among a new generation of specialized scientists, engineers and industrialists capable of developing, optimizing and integrating sustainable energy sources including solar power, wind power and energy from biomass. The conference will also focus on innovative batteries and the potential to exploit hydrogen as an energy source. Research pertaining to new forms of energy distribution, energy market scenario and means of addressing the energy needs of emerging societies will also be addressed.
